Prevent Vehicle Collision by Using Parking Bollards

Bollards are short, vertical posts, usually made of steel, typically used to prevent access and to protect pedestrian and assets from vehicle collision damage. To ensure that vehicles are parked properly in garage parking bollards are used. Bollards are used in myriad of applications for one of several purposes including equipment protection, utility and building protection with access restriction.

Foundation mounted bollards are typically installed in one of two ways. The first least expensive way is with a plate mounted bollard. These bollards are steel pipes welded to a flat steel plate that can be anchored to a hard surface using concrete anchors. This method of installation is quick and affordable, requiring the installer to drill four to eight holes in the concrete bolt down the bollard with expansion or screw anchors.

Pollards designed by these companies are of premium quality and reasonably priced. The prominence of bollards has dramatically increased during the past decade due to heightened concerns about security. They are a simple, practical and cost-effective means of anti arm perimeter defense without creating a visual sense of a fortified bunker. They are widely used for traffic direction and in purely decorative applications.

People also use retractable or removable bollards that can allow different levels of access restriction for a variety of circumstances. They signify and direct where one can drive and cannot, park the vehicle or walk enabling people to get protected from crime, shield vehicles and property from accidents by adding aesthetic features for building exteriors and surrounding areas. A bollard is a short vertical post.

Decorative bollards are made in a variety of patterns to harmonize with a wide range of architectural styles. The prevalence of most common form of security bollard, the concrete-filled steel pipe has encouraged the manufacturing of decorative bollards designed to fit as covers over standard steel pipe sizes, adding pleasing form to required function.
